Having completed a multi-year crime cinematic universe, Vince Gilligan returns to screens on November 7, 2025, with the premiere of Pluribus on Apple TV. The central role in the project will be taken by already well-known from the series Better Call Saul – Rhea Seehorn, and key roles in the new series Pluribus will go to Karolina Wydra and Carlos Manuel Vesga.

Let’s break down in detail who is who in this creepy universe.

Rhea Seehorn

The center of attention of the series Pluribus, without a doubt, was the return of Rhea Seehorn. The actress, whose image of Kim Wexler in Better Call Saul brought her two Emmy nominations, will for the first time receive a leading role in Gilligan’s project, written specifically for her.

Role: Carol Sturkey

Carol Sturkey is the central character of the series Pluribus. She is described as a successful but dissatisfied with life author of novels.

The revelation of Carol’s character happens through a unique immunity to the virus “happiness”. It would seem, chronic dissatisfaction with life can have only a negative effect; however, in the series, this performs the opposite plot function: it serves as an antidote for Carol to the global impact of the virus. But despite all the dissatisfaction with the world, Carol finds herself forced to take on the role of a reluctant savior.

By the way, Rhea Seehorn herself believes that Carol is the complete opposite of Kim Wexler: Carol is more impulsive, reactionary, and knows how to openly express her dissatisfaction. This role requires a different approach and may give Seehorn the opportunity to show herself in a completely new role.

Karolina Wydra

The actress of Polish origin, Karolina Wydra, known from the series Twin Peaks and Sneaky Pete, will play a role opposite to Carol’s role and, apparently, will become one of the main antagonists for the main heroine.

Role: Ana (Zosia)

Zosia (according to some sources, Ana), according to preliminary information, is a representative of the “happy” world and serves as the complete opposite of Carol. Ana, most likely, will be the embodiment of an optimistic woman, full of acceptance of the new reality. Based on this, it seems that her role in the series will consist of convincing Carol to become part of their perfect world.

Carlos Manuel Vesga

Latin American actor Carlos Manuel Vesga known for roles in such projects as The Hijacking of Flight 601 and The Snitch Cartel: Origins, will occupy one of the key roles, however information about his character, as well as about Ana (Zosia), is still extremely scarce, but there are some guesses circulating in the fan community, which we will write about below.

Role: Manusos

At first glance, one might think that he will be another person who, for some reason, was not fully subjected to the impact of “happiness” and is forced to help Carol.

However, everything could be exactly the opposite, and his character will turn out to be a representative of authority or science, who either secretly doubts what is happening and helps Carol from the inside, or, on the contrary, tries to hinder. His motivations remain unclear, but considering his roles in dramas and thrillers, Vesga’s character is unlikely to be purely comedic.

Also announced in the cast are Jennifer Bravo (“Empire”), Samba Schutte (“Our Flag Means Death”), Miriam Shor (“American Fiction”), and Mackenzie Scott (“Baby Driver”). Their roles are still kept secret.
