Nearly three years after the conclusion of the legendary “Better Call Saul”, Vince Gilligan returns to television with a completely new and different project. The series “Pluribus” will present itself as a science fiction drama with elements of dark humor.
The series premiere will take place in the fall of this year and promises to create a lot of buzz around itself, as Gilligan has once again teamed up with the talented Rhea Seehorn (who played Kim Wexler in Better Call Saul), who this time will play the lead role, drastically different from everything we’ve seen in her performance.

Main plot of the Pluribus series

The official tagline for “Pluribus” is: “The most unhappy person on Earth must save the world from happiness,” and the trailers that have already been released reveal to us the main moments in the plot.
First, “happiness” is not a choice, but a global, contagious condition resembling a virus, and Carol Sturka (Rhea Seehorn) here is the only one who has retained the ability for normal human emotions, including discontent, cynicism, and unhappiness. She is literally “the most unhappy person on Earth”, and this is precisely what they will try to “fix” in her.
Second, Carol is ready to fight to find a way to “reverse all of this”, and Gilligan himself describes it as the unhappiest person in the world, desperately trying to save the planet from happiness. She doesn’t really want to save the world, but more or less feels that it’s her duty.
Pluribus series cast
Rhea Seehorn — Carol Sturka, the main character, is the only one immune to the “happiness virus”.
Karolina Wydra — Zosia
Carlos-Manuel Vesga — Manousos
Miriam Shor — Helen
Samba Schutte — his character in the series is still unknown

Why does Pluribus deserve attention?
Vince Gilligan is not just changing genre, he’s changing focus. “Pluribus” is not just a new series; it’s Vince Gilligan’s first major project outside the “Breaking Bad” universe in nearly two decades. Given his talent for creating deep characters and impeccable script tension, this series has every chance of becoming one of the main events of this year on television.
